Portraits III (2025)

Molly Evans

BA English & French 2021

Molly first visited Keble on a school trip as part of the College’s Access and Outreach programme. Since joining the College, she has been a part of Keble at Large, enjoying the opportunity to help with those tours that had once encouraged her to apply to Keble. She has helped on the Open Days at the start and end of each summer, as well as giving school tours. In her efforts to support the programme, she committed to the cause through fundraising directly for this effort as part of the Telethon Team. Molly finds it rewarding to now see current students that she gave tours to when they were prospective applicants, and offer-holders.

“Keble is a community first and foremost. When asked what the main draw of the College is during the outreach tours, I come back to the same answer. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere, which was important to me when choosing a college.”

Being at Keble has allowed Molly to enjoy and pursue various creative endeavours. Acting as one of the arts and publications representatives in the JCR committee, she has helped to run weekly events and was a part of the Keble Arts Festival committee for two years. She was also a member of the creative committee for the return of the much-anticipated Keble Ball in 2024.

Outside of her studies, Molly is keenly involved in drama. With her peers, she made a production company, where their focus was providing an inclusive environment to support creatives from underrepresented backgrounds. Following their successful revival of the Keble Garden play, they took the show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Molly has been a part of 11 productions, in cast and crew roles, including acting in the Oxford Drama 2023 national tour, hoping to show that the arts are for anyone who wants to be involved.

“I am enjoying my fourth year at Keble, and know that I will cherish the memories and friends I have made here for life.”
