Jade Morris

BA Human Sciences 2022

A true strength of a leader is the ability to bring people together; as a third-year Human Sciences student, Jade Morris has already made a significant impact on her College community.

Last year, Jade served as President of the 2024 Keble Ball, leading the revival of this celebrated event after a five-year hiatus. With the theme “Wizard of Oz: Follow the Red Brick Road,” Jade planned, organised and executed every aspect of the Ball with support from a wonderful committee, which drew an impressive 1,400 guests. Beyond the thrill of dodgems and emerald-green decorations, Jade’s leadership underscored her ability to unite a diverse team and handle the logistics of an event of this scale. Through her role, she has demonstrated her passion for community engagement and created a lasting joyful legacy for future Keble students to enjoy.

“Bringing the Ball back was about more than just throwing a party” Jade reflects. “It was about creating an unforgettable experience for everyone, something that would reconnect generations of Keblites and foster the College spirit.”

Her passion for community involvement also shines through her active role in the Keble College Boat Club, where she served as Captain of Coxes for two consecutive years and recently has become Women’s Vice Captain, mentoring new coxswains and receiving ‘blades’ twice.

Whether she’s navigating the river or organizing one of Keble’s largest events, Jade’s dedication to her College community has fostered a sense of connection and shared purpose. Grateful to the College for the opportunities and support that have enabled her to contribute in these ways, she hopes her efforts will inspire future Keble students to engage, support one another, and make lasting memories together.
