Anna Wojcik

Joined 2015
Accommodation Assistant

Anna came to the UK from Poland in 2010 at the age of 19 to be with her family in Oxford. She started her career at Keble in housekeeping in 2015, and today she looks after the Warden’s Lodgings in Pusey Quad. Anna has developed a great bond with the Warden’s dog, Rievaulx, tolerating her playful mischiefs of attacking the hoover and chasing shoelaces.

Looking back, Anna recalls how daunting it was when she first joined Keble. She had recently become a mother, was far from home, and had no prior knowledge of Oxford or the College. She thought her time at Keble would be brief, but as the years passed, Anna became an integral part of the Keble community. Now, a decade later, she is a well-known and friendly face around the College. Her good nature, hard work, and willingness to go above and beyond her duties have made her a cherished member of the team.

Outside of Keble, Anna dedicates much of her time to her family. When the opportunity arises, she travels back to Poland to continue the long but rewarding task of renovating the house she will eventually share with her husband and 10-year-old daughter when her Keble adventure comes to an end.

Anna has developed a deep affection for the College, saying, “Keble College is one of the friendliest places you can be in Oxford, while at the same time being so big and lively! Students and staff alike are always happy to help with anything, making it such a supportive academic and social environment. Keble is a beautiful and welcoming college—I’m so glad I landed here.”
